POSITION SUMMARY: Answers phones providing excellent customer service to donors and customers. Schedules home pick up of donations, coordinates home pick up daily tickets, assists Drivers with directions and communication with donors, and completes assigned administrative tasks.

Essential Functions Statement(s):

  1. Answers and returns phone calls from donors and community members. Provides accurate information regarding donations pickups, locations, acceptable donations, and general information.
  2. Schedules all donation pickups according to predetermined routes and/or contents of the donation. Keeps record of daily pick-ups and resets necessary pick-up dates accordingly.
  3. Separates donation receipts according to electronic and non-electronic by site and date. Once completed sends all electronic receipts to the Recycling Clerk for tracking and scanning.
  4. Prepares all donation receipts for storage, separating by month and electronic/non- electronic donations. Labels, boxes, and arranges for Transportation to store them.
  5. Notifies the Transportation Coordinator II or the Transportation Manager of any out of the ordinary pickups or any complaints. Seeks guidance from the Director of Donations and Transportation or the Transportation Manager before scheduling pickups of large quantities or out of the ordinary items.
  6. Uses the Thomas Guide Map Book to write map coordinates on donation tickets and prints copies of maps for Drivers.
  7. Tracks and monitors the progress of the ticket truck routes, and any other home or business pick ups. Responsible for notifying the Transportation Coordinator or Transportation Manager of anything out of the ordinary.
  8. As assigned, completes tracking and inputting data for the monthly bin reports, tracking verifying and submitting monthly poly-lok log, home pick-up and business pick up reports.
  9. Performs other duties as directed or assigned.





Education: Associate's Degree (two year college or technical school preferred).


Experience: One to two years related experience preferred.


Computer Skills: Must have proficient basic skills in the following: Email, MS Word, and MS Excel. Experience in the use of GPS tracking software preferred.
