ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS STATEMENTS:

 

  1. Project set-up.
  2. Continually reviews status of projects, assists in managing schedules and assists in reporting the progress of projects, including site visits and meetings pertaining to the project.
  3. Schedules, coordinates, and attends design and program meetings, pre-construction conferences and construction meetings.
  4. Acts as liaison between contractors, vendors and Goodwill internal departments.
  5. Maintains project calendar for internal/external use, as well as monitors project schedules and milestones.
  6. Design review coordination; tracks status of design review.
  7. Tracks and coordinates resolution of design and construction issues.
  8. Is the subject expert on internal and external branding, paint, signage, furniture, as well as lays out the store and orders the fixtures.
  9. Coordinates pre-construction requirements.
  10. Reviews and monitors project during construction, in addition to problem solving with the project.
  11. Prepares Project Approval Form and Project Supply Requisitions. Submits Project Approval Forms and Supply Requisitions to the Purchasing Agent and follows up to ensure purchases were processed.
  12. Maintains project files – record retention.
  13. Reviews project plans; monitors and informs changes to projects to include change orders, as well as tracks project expense.
  14. Interacts with landlord representatives during construction processes.
  15. Ensures the critical project timelines are met via all avenues of communication.
  16. Coordinates and administers project close-out procedures.

Qualifications

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

 

Education: Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.

 

Experience: A minimum of two years related experience.  

 

Other Requirements: Strong organizational skills. Excellent written/verbal communication. Experience in working with project plans, blueprints and general working knowledge of the complexity in the construction industry.

 

Computer Skills: Excellent computer skills, MS Office, MS Project, email, internet

 

Certificates & Licenses: Must have a valid CA Driver’s License, proof of insurance and driving record acceptable by Goodwill’s insurance company.

 

Amount of travel required: 40%
