The Outlet Clerk will conduct research, accurately enter data, prepare reports and maintain spreadsheets as assigned as it relates to recycling and sustainability. In addition, performs a variety of administrative tasks for the outlet facilities.

Essential Functions Statement(s):

  1. Uses computer to research, compile and process information.
  2. Prepares reports, maintains databases and other necessary spreadsheets.
  3. Works with Accounting Department to reconcile Dell Report/Receiving Tickets from approved recycling partner.
  4. Files documents and maintains filing system.
  5. Assists Sustainability Manager with audits, state reports and data entry for GII sustainability challenges.
  6. Maintains compliance records to meet regulatory requirements.
  7. Helps with environmentally themed events off-site, may include setting/packing up booth and will be interacting with the community.
  8. Attends community meetings related to sustainability as needed to represent the organization in the absence of the Sustainability Manager.
  9. Supports with the collection of storm water samples and delivers them to lab when necessary..
  10. Operates copier and other basic office equipment.
  11. Performs appropriate clerical duties related to the upkeep of the department, including scheduling meetings, data entry, receiving phone calls, greeting and registering visitors/customers.
  12. Other duties and special projects as assigned.




Education: High School or equivalent is required. Associate degree preferred.


Experience: A minimum of one to two years related experience.


Computer Skills: Must have proficient skills in the following: Email, MS Word, Power Point, MS Excel.


Certificates & Licenses: Must have a valid California Driver’s License and insurance with driving record acceptable to Goodwill’s insurance.


Other Requirements: Having an interest/knowledge of sustainability is highly desirable. Bilingual English/Spanish is required.


Work Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday.
