Essential Functions Statements:
Conducts initial new hired employee orientation; ensures all hiring paperwork is correctly completed.
Performs mandatory pre-employment drug screening and informs HR Manager if results are positive.
Enters new hired employees’ information into Time & Attendance system accurately and in a timely manner.
Assigns employee number to new hired employees and enrolls them in the hand-scanner.
Conducts employment history verification on all selected applications.
Checks for validity of required licenses and certifications.
Communicates with Hiring Managers on the status of pre-employment process for selected candidates.
Offers position to candidates upon successful completion of pre-employment requirements.
Assures NAID requirements for eligible employees.
Collects Credit Bureau authorization for pre-employment criminal background, credit report, and/or driving record. Gives candidates a Credit Bureau Rights form. Enters employees’ information in order to obtain reports and informs Director of HR or HR Manager if results don’t match employment application.
Responsible for ensuring employees comply with I-9 mandatory documents.
Creates and updates files for new hire orientation process, including employee handbook.
Keeps inventory of all new hire forms and makes copies as needed.
Creates and types new forms, when necessary.
Uses a digital camera to take employee pictures and makes employee badges.
Gives information to public about how to apply for position in the organization, and helps Goodwill employees with HR related matters or directs them to the appropriate HR personnel.
Acts as a backup for the Switchboard Operator, providing excellent customer service.
Performs other duties as directed or assigned.
