POSITION SUMMARY: Operates a truck, van, roll-off or combination tractor/trailer, depending on position, primarily to deliver or pick up merchandise/donations from donation centers, Goodwill stores/facilities, businesses or private residences.
*Please note that this position will be to serve as a back-up Commerical Truck Driver. The position's primary duties (90%) will be to drive a regular straight truck, and load and unload product on regular routes. Commercial driving will only be 10% of the job. This may eventually change, per the needs of the Transportation Department.
Essential Functions Statement:
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Education: High School Degree or GED preferred.
Experience: 6 months – 1 year experience driving a Class A tractor with up to a 53 foot trailer.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills and the ability to operate GPS tracking system preferred.
Certificates & Licenses: Valid California Class A Driver’s license with air brake endorsement and driving record acceptable to Goodwill’s insurance company’s standards.
The location of this position will fluctuate between Otay Mesa and Point Loma.
