Fixed Crew Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY: Provides daily hands on supervision for the Fixed Crew. Responsible for the daily supervision and direction of the Fixed Crew. Assists in accountability and administrative tasks as assigned.

Essential Functions Statement(s):

1. Provides coaching, support, training on pricing, quality standards and direction to the Fixed Crew ambassadors.
2. Assists in achieving department goals and objectives.
3. Performs work activities of subordinates as necessary.
4. Conducts the training of new Fixed Crew production staff as well as ongoing training of existing staff – to include huddles, safety trainings and any other assigned trainings.
5. Assists with the accurate and timely completion of administrative tasks as assigned.
6. Ensures that all employees are abiding by company policies and procedures.
7. Assists with the accurate processing, pricing, tracking and disbursement of inventory/product. Communicates with all applicable sites and Dispatch to ensure all parties are prepared for and aware of product distribution/movement.
8. Assists with monitoring and verifying that quality standards are met and the department is following all guidelines set forth in the Fixed Crew Training Manual in order to meet the retail production and revenue goals.
9. Assists with the upkeep and maintenance of assigned site to include ensuring that all supplies are stocked, submitting maintenance requests and informing the Manager of any repair needs. Ensures Workstation are in line with the Kaizen Philosophy.
10. Safeguards all donations and company property from damage and theft. Treats all donations and company property with respect and care.
11. Follows all safety rules and regulations and performs all assigned duties in a safe manner according to all company safety guidelines and ensures others do the same.
12. Assists in writing and issuing/ and provides feedback for the completion and issuance of all staff 5 Minute Goal Setting Conversations and Annual Evaluations.
13. Performs other miscellaneous tasks as assigned or directed.
14. Supports the 4DX process within the organization and development through active participation.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Education: Associates Degree or 2 years college or technical school preferred.

Experience: Two to four years supervisory experience preferred.

Computer Skills: Email, MS Word, and MS Excel.

Certificates & Licenses: Valid CA Driver's License with driving record acceptable to Goodwill's insurance company's standards. Ability to become forklift certified required.

Other Requirements: Ability to recognize name brand clothing and high quality merchandise preferred.

Location Details: While this position will ultimately be located in San Ysidro, training will take place at 960 Sherman Street (off Morena Boulevard near Old Town San Diego). 

Schedule: Schedule flexibility is required. The tentative schedule will be Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. However, we might extend the hours or days of the operation at a later date, including starting shifts as early as 7 a.m. and ending as late as 5:30 p.m. We also might eventually open up a Saturday shift.
